Formative Assessment
The curriculum will place a strong emphasis on Formative assessment, using ongoing evaluation to monitor student progress and inform instruction. This approach involves regular, informal assessment such as quizzes, class discussions, and feedback on assignment, slowing teachers to identify learning needs and adjust teaching strategies and provide timely support.
Summative Assessment
Summative Assessment will be employed to evaluate and summarize student learning at the end of instructional units or academic periods. This includes formal evaluations such as final exams, standardized tests and major projects that measure students overall understanding and mastery of the material.
